andrew.org will turn ten in a month. Really.

They say time flies when you’re having fun. It must be flying anyway!

I remember being in the server room of the ISP firm I co-founded, on a lazy afternoon, doing WHOIS searches to choose the name, then configuring the DNS zone, filling the e-mail form to register the domain and getting ready to shell out the US$100 for the registration. Those were the good times.

Anyway…

I’ve decided to hold a contest to mark the occasion. Let’s call it

design a logo for andrew.org

I’ve always wanted to have a logo for andrew.org.

Being completely devoid of graphical skills, I’ve asked my friends countless times to design a logo for me, and nobody ever did anything. Why do I expect something different this time, you ask? Actually I don’t, but I’m willing to give it a try and raise the stake a little bit. After the contest has ended, I will have some t-shirts printed and possibly other kinds of gadgets. I will cover the expenses, then the gadgets will be put up for sale, but the winner will get his share for free, along with eternal fame, fortune and gratitude.
